D’abord enterré à PONTIGNY, son corps est exhumé pour le port de SAINT NAZAIRE le 26 octobre 1920 et y arrive le 2 novembre. Transféré 20 jours plus tard pour HOBOKEN (New Jersey, USA) à bord de l’USS WHEATON, il y arrive le 15 décembre et pour son dernier voyage du 18 au 19 décembre 1920 direction PAWTUCKET (Rhode Island, USA). Son lieu de sépulture est inconnu.
